I have always written for as long as I can remember. My first accepted work was about a butterfly, which was accepted by my mother (I was about six). That was a long, long time ago. I have been writing ever since.
For a long time I hung around on Book Island in Second Life. Now I hang around Writer’s Island with the writers, poets, and other literary types, and have since been writing consistently, doing much more Poetry than ever.
November of 2011 I wrote the mandatory 50,000 words for the November Writing Challenge (NaNoWriMo as it is commonly known), and have re-written it many times since but have been unable to get it into a finished book form.
Some day I hope that I will publish a book from this, as well as turning a couple of other written pieces into a few books of combined shorter pieces, some of prose, some of poetry. All of this depends on finding the elusive editor that can correct my common and continual mistakes.
Recently I completed a NaPoWriMo (taken from the other writing challenge, this one standing for National Poetry Writing Month), a month long excursion into poetry, one poem a day for thirty days. Well, I cheated, I came out with 32, I couldn’t help myself. What’ll I do until next April? Blog of course!!
I hail from Wisconsin as I have throughout my life, with the exception of serving in the military for a few years. It is considered the Upper Midwest of the United States (just West of Lake Michigan).
I would love your comments, short or long, wicked or strong. Thank you for them all.
Thank you for reading my blog and I hope to read yours also.
