Water, Water, Everywhere, But…

A thousand bricks remain in the wall
To purify life we must topple them all
The extremes will eventually come to an end
As to hell dictators and conquerors we send
Those that would rule with false justifications
Overruled by consciously activated populations

Groups that kill to get their religious or secular way
Fight until known that they have no truth this day
Send to their own sometimes innocent grave
With only hope that the future will save

Equally the beast within us must be tempered
Individually changing of minds to be altered
To treat each other like themselves first
Ending the power for which many have thirst

For we are one together all can’t deny
Covered and protected by the same endless sky
Insignificant and obscure on a single blue orb
We have only our own knowledge needed to absorb

About Barbara Blackcinder

I am a poet/writer with a hunger for words. There are so many out there that I haven't used yet. They define all reality and especially mine when you read those from me.
