Another bright sunset overhead
Pink clouds in stripes and in a sweep
How can one see such beauty
And still be in a depression deep

Between the leaves of swaying trees
Their branches weaving to and fro
Just a little waving with the breeze
I love the images blending so

So I will watch as the pink clouds darken
And the branches and leaves blend in too
Until there is nothing but the whispering wind
When darkness overcomes the view

About Barbara Blackcinder

I am a poet/writer with a need for words. There are so many out there that I haven't used yet. They define all reality and mine when you read those from me.
