Give Peace A Chance

Take a little music

Sing it to a friend

Let others overhear it

And the love that it will send

Put your hands together

Clap them to a beat

Stand there in the roadway

And give the world a seat

Let peace be your lyric

Allow it to spread wide

Show the joyous moments

There’s nothing there to hide

Bring the world together

Sing a concert for us all

Rid us of animosities

And together we won’t fall.

About Barbara Blackcinder

I am a poet/writer with a need for words. There are so many out there that I haven't used yet. They define all reality and mine when you read those from me.

In honor of this poem I sang in the aisles at the Family Dollar Store today. No one threw me out! And hopefully peace was spread it was an original composition entitled spread the peace!
