The Reactionary Poet

I’m a reactive poet

I see and I tell

A phrase or an expression

And I’m off as well.

The misstep on a word

Or a clever little phrase

It just gets under my skin

And  a thought it will raise

It may mean nothing to others

But it clicks in my head

From some little trifling

That someone has said

It rings in my ear

And soon ferments there

It’s a challenge that quickly

Raises my hair

And so it comes out

Some good and some bad

Some silly and frivolous

Some happy, some sad.

About Barbara Blackcinder

I am a poet/writer with a hunger for words. There are so many out there that I haven't used yet. They define all reality and especially mine when you read those from me.
