Silly Silly Suicide

Silly silly Suicide, it’s seeking me right now

I do not seek it’s welcome, I fear to think of how

But I know its hiding somewhere, lurking in my mind

It looks for the smallest reason, a small excuse for why

So I slap it down with anger, look for ways to get away

It builds and rolls and climaxes, I hide it for another day

Some wonder why I’m angry, it’s not because of outer pain

It a haunting fear that seeks me, that grips me once again

I know it’s always with me, and someday it will end,

But I will not submit to it, my end I will not rend.

Silly silly suicide, you seek me every day

But I duck and dodge, I hope you’ll go away

You attack me when I’m lonesome, find me at my worse

But you are a well-known trouble, an almost daily curse

I find you or you find me, I’m not so sure which way

But it’s hard to rid me of you, I haven’t the words to say

So I keep you out of mind, as best as I am able

For a single thought brings you to the table

Where my life is what’s it’s looking for

It can’t have my single life, I haven’t any more.
